I just came back from Las Vegas for the shows. We did one of the shows called "PROJECT"
Day one was setting up.We were in the booths around 8am and took out all our new styles! Here is me, my partner Miss J, and our helper for the 3 days Leslie!

So I have been busy getting things ready for the lines we do freelance design for and also for our line!
Unfortunately I wont be showing Monn'Amur in Vegas, waiting for the perfect timing! (wink)

Dont know if you have heard it thru the grape vines or not, but with my friend I have launched another line. This time it is all about scarves. We are always wearing scarves, especially Jose! He can make a scarf out of a scrap of fabric! Anyways, it has been doing well, it will be in stores at the end of the month. But before that, here it is in this months SWEET magazine! Looks really cute!

Iam a walking Rainbow Bright!

Recently I have been busy with work and waking up early. So early its still grey in LA.( LA is never grey!)
Anyways, i just picked up my favorite things from my closet today and didnt think much of it.
As I am walking out of the factory around 3pm, I see my reflection in the car and think " Iam a walking Rainbow Bright!"
I dont dislike what Iam wearing, the colorful thing is the trend. And I LOVE color!
HA , I just had to show you what I looked like, sorry if the picture doesnt compliment me at all. The shine on the face and all.

So, I havent seen the actual newspaper yet! (For some reason my WWD comes a day late..hmm) Anyways, this was sent to me from the editor of the magazine. Who was also telling me how much she loved this top and wants to keep in touch with the line! SO my dream of having the line on the cover, isnt far!! The pictures turned out amazing, I couldnt of have asked for a better photo.
The model too is so perfect! Super Kawaii~! :) haha I have been looking at it all day and showing everyone that comes into sight!
It still a new line, but I see a very bright BRIGHT strobe light at the end! Fabules-ness!

Beijing Olympics 2008

Are you guys watching this! First of all the opening ceremony blew my mind away. It was so beautiful , so amazing, I cant even explain! How much hard work has been put in it for this day! I heard they rehearsed for 8 months! China is amazing! I dont think anyone can top that off! And as for the games too! They are so good! I cannot keep my eyes off of the tv!! Iam so proud of everyone who is there fighting to win the gold. I give them credit for even just making it to the olympics. They are the real champions! 皆頑張れぇ〜！You guys are living the dream, and I admire you!

My new fav LYKKE LI

I was on the net looking for some inspirations for my Summer and Fall 2009 collections and she came up. Now Iam so very into her and her music. She will be my muse! She is from Sweden. One of my fav's! Music from Sweden is a favorite of mine. I must make a trip down there to see what it is all about. Anyways, back to the lovely lady, her name is Lykke Li.
I dont know much about her yet, but I do know her new album will be out soon. Must check it out! Iam going to itunes right now and pre-ordering! See below her new song from the new Album. The song is "Breaking it up"

Good things are coming this way!!!

So when I thought I was having a bad couple of days..this comes along and makes my whole week!! I fashion designers dream! The first step to making it big..ger!haha
How it first started was I had met the Head Editor of NYLON magazine about 3 or so years back. And told him one day I would have a line and would love to do something with NYLON...well, the line will be coming up on our first year and I just got an email from the Fashion Editor saying they want to do a photo shoot this Friday. So I over nighted the clothes and I crossed my fingers...Today, I get an email saying they want to interview me!!yaaaayy! One of my favorite magazines is going to write about Monn'Amur! Ahhhh!! Iam smiling right now! My little heart is so very very happy right now..hehehe
Its for the October issue,,,i think! Lets keep an eye out!
AND THEN!!! Last night while I was in a meeting, I get a phone call from this girl asking if Iam the designer for Monn'Amr..Iam thinking...is this someone playing a game on me?? Right after I ask who she is, she says "Iam ~~ from Womans Wear Daily"
ahhhhhh part2! I was ..I dont know what I was. Iam happy again now though! Anyways, I delivered the line myself early this morning for a photo shoot tomorrow and next week!!!yay yay ya~y! Another favorite of mine. I subscribe to both of these, read them all the time! These are the magazines I take to travel , the gym, the park, the car wash the list goes on.
Iam still a year old, but we are making progress!
Also watch out for press in Japan! I sent out a bunch down there too!

FANCY Fancy LUNCH!

We went to Beverly Hills for work and we couldnt figure out where to eat. So we decided to go upstairs and enjoy a glass of wine with our meal. So up we went to the Neiman Marcus Mens floor BAR on 4. You can enjoy looking out at Century City while you have your sweet fancy shmancy lunchie.I ordered an egg sandwich and it was topped of with some caviar! ooooo!
Eggs and more eggs!!! But, I must say, it was very yummy! None of us was unhappy. They also had treats from my fav "Sweet Lady Jane" on 3rd. We all left with Smiles on our faces..even though our bill was $171!!!!eeek! Cant do this everyday kids! Maybe twice a year! I think I used up all my fancy lunch dates! hehehe

Fancy Lunches!

So the past week was busy, but everything was better cus we had some fancy lunches! It didnt feel like the original lunches I have in downtown DOWNTOWN! If you know what I mean!!

Animals are the best!

My dad sent me this video to me this morning, and I thought it as an amazing story. The lion is so happy! Maybe you have seen it already with all the hits on youtube and it was on the Today show etc...but its sooo cute! Animals will always be animals, but they have feelings too! They love just like we love.

Why so serious??

So, this might not be the best time to post this ( with batman getting arrested and all) But, I was one of the people who stood in line on opening night to watch the movie. We started standing in line from 10:30pm and the movie started 12:30am! And the thing was, that I didnt know the movie was 2 and a half hours long! So my day all began at waking up at 7am in the morning and not taking a disco nap. The results were...me falling asleep every now and then..and not understanding what was going on. BUT! you know what, I went to watch the movie for a 2nd time!!Standing in line again for the 2nd time..and the movie was GREEEAAAT! ( like tony the tiger greeaat!) Heath Ledger was amazing! SO good, I totally forgot it was him! He is and always will be such an awesome actor....
OH, and with the new iphone apps thingie, Ive been downloading some silly thingies. And the Batman one was one of them. You take pix of you or friends and stamp them with Batman prints! fun, fun!!

She is such an inspiration to me. I have a picture of her on my future board. I want to be like her. Successful, creative, smart business woman, head of the CFDA and everything in between. LOVE LOVE LOVE her!

Happy belated 4th of July everyone!

How did you guys spend your 4th of July? We had a BBQ pool party and it was so much fun~!I had a really good BBQ party last year, so I was excited about this years.And it was a BLAST! I havent laughed so hard in a long time.
So many friends just kept on coming, good food, nice music, great weather, perfect pool and just wonderful company!
And to end the day off with some amazing fireworks....priceless...hehe

It's too HOT... dreaming of my coldstone ice cream

Here Iam , wearing my new favorite sun glasses outside in very very hot Echo Park area. There is a very funny story behind all this, but will tell you next time!
And here is the Cold stone ice cream I cannot stop dreaming about. It was Sweet cream (ice cream) with waffle cone, chocolate shavings, marshmallows and caramel...mmmmmmm it was sooooo gooood~
I call it the" Attack of the Marshmallow Ninja's" ..( you cant really see the white little marshmallows until they are in your mouth!)

Out all day with the pups

So I had to stay out of the house all day because they were smoking down the house.Killing those termites! yuk
And so we had to stay out of the house all day. Started off with a starbucks breakfast.(too bad they are closing so many stores!but I did hear that themcdonalds coffee tastes better than the starbucks now,and its cheaper) any how, we did that, then went to our favorite dog park.Mel did his thing and mingled with the other doggies and Coco just hung out with me. It was hot out, so we didnt stay there for too long.But did make a new friend, Quincy. Quincy is there everyday. Hope my doggies didnt hear that!:) And I treated myself to a relaxing facial and went back home! Busy busy!!
Tomorrow is July 4th, so I need to get everything ready for a fun filled pool bbq day! Will post pictures, if I can remember to take them!hehe

Amazing striped icebergs

Icebergs in the Antarctic area sometimes have stripes, formed by
layers of snow that react to different conditions.

Blue stripes are often created when a crevice in the ice sheet
fills up with meltwater and freezes so quickly that no bubbles form.

When an iceberg fall s into the sea, a layer of salty seawater can freeze
to the underside. If this is rich in algae, it can form a green stripe.

Brown, black and yellow lines are caused by sediment, picked up
when the ice sheet grinds downhill towards the sea.

Go out and smell the Roses!

This is a picture I took the day before I left to come back to LA. Josh and I were talking about going to Tokyo tower before I left.
So we decided to go with Josh in our Hearts. And when we got out of the cab these beautiful pink flowers were there to greet us.
Since then I have been thinking about having a little garden. Since I dont have a yard, just yet!
I started a little indoor garden in the corner of the dining room. It is still very small. But I will work on making it bigger!
I have been doing it for a couple of weeks now, and I knew nothing. So yes, a few plants are already dying...:(
but, I bought a book on Amazon that should be here any day now that will rescue all these beauties! Let me work on them for another week till I actually show you some pictures!
Anyways, the weather is so nice in LA. Hope it is where you are too!Enjoy the sun! Go to the pool! And dont forget to go out and smell the roses!

Bluetoothing it up

So as of July 1st in CA the law says that you may not drive and talk on your cell phone at the same time.Hands Free! So what I did to day was purchased one of these fancy looking machines for myself. The one I got was the Jawbone. It apparently got an award for it, so it must be good! And its kinda cute looking, quilted look, like a channel bag! Anyways, I got one...and its been 2 hours so far, no phone calls. Iam sitting here in front of my computer at home waiting for a call... someone please call me so I can use this neat little gadget!

FRIEDIA SMAAASHHHHH!!

Hey you guys! Iam back! It has been a very difficult month for me to write or do pretty much anything..but then I had a dream...
I know it may sound weird to you guys, but ever since that day, my brother has been in every dream, everyday.And about a week ago he was in my dream again and asked me to meet him in this room ,and he wasnt there, it was just his spirit reflecting in the mirror. And I asked " what happened to you? Why are you fading away?" And he told me that he was tired of roaming the earth and was ready to go to Heaven....And for me to be happy. Not to worry about him...
And like most mornings, I woke up crying, but this time it was different. Something felt better than yesterday...I dont know how to explain it. I still have my moments, those are still there...And I have decided to be happy for him. To live life to the fullest for him.So, I started to reach out to my friends again.( Sorry everyone for not calling, emailing etc...)
The first thing fun we decided to do was go watch the HULK movie when it came out. I wasnt too into it, so to entertain myself some more I went over to Target and bought myself some HULK gloves! That talks!
We took this photo before we went in. AND you know what! I enjoyed the movie so much! It was a fun night! Glad we did that.

I love you Josh....

My brother passed away last week. I really dont know how to feel or say right now.It was all so sudden. I was visiting japan while all of this happened. And was supposed to leave the next day.....
And I still cant believe it all. It has been the most longest week of my life. So many things are racing thru my head.
I knew Josh was a great, unique talented man, but he was so much more. His friends told me all these wonderful stories that I will never forget. He touched so many peoples lives. Everyone around him has such a big heart, he had really good people around him. He really makes me proud to be his older sister. His friends and I promised to smile and laugh and live life to its fullest for Josh. We know thats what he would want. Thats the type of person he was, always making others happy. I love you so much Josh. You are all around us and will always be in our hearts.

I would also like to thank everyone in Japan that helped us thru all this, you dont know how greatful Iam. Thank you.
