"Woofin Girls " Shots we didnt use!

Maybe you saw it on the stands already, maybe not. I did a 6 page spread in the japanese magazine Woofin Girls. They came all the way down to LA to shoot. And the photographer was a friend of mine, Yuri. So hte day went by so fast , and had so much fun! If you saw the shots in the magazines then you havent seen these. These were the other ones that were not picked..but I liked them! So Iam giving you all a little peek! The whole spread was about being paparrazi'd!Enjoy~!

When I was little my mom and dad would hand me a pen and paper all the time to keep me busy. And when I grew older my dad took us to the museums all the time and he introduced me to Vincent Van Gogh. He became my favorite and told my dad I was going to be an artist. He never really supported the idea. ( he wanted me to become a scientist like him) So I never went for it. But my love for drawing or making things never went away. Thats probably one of the reasons Im in the clothing/designing industry!
I had a fashion show a few months back and got to meet a lot of very interesting people. One of them was an artist himself. Well, he is the one that put this event together and asked me to show my stuff......So for the first time I will show an art piece. Iam excited and very nervous at the same time. ART is not the easiest to please a crowd. Its all about taste. BUt in my mind, if I can please just one person, that will make me happy. I do it cus I love it, and if it affects someone else in any way, thats a compliment. If your in the area, please stop by! C u there!xxx

A very unexpected Early Christmas Present!

Hello Everyone! Meet Vincent! Little Prince Vincent! He is the new member to the family.
SO here is a story. Ever since my brother passed away I have been having dreams with him in it almost every night. I can feel him there and around me all the time. Well, one of the dreams I had was a little after the funeral. He came into my dream and tried to make me happy. SO he gave me a little black dog.And named him "Prince" The next day I had told my friends about the dream ,and didnt think much about getting another dog. UNTIL! Early October a friend of mine said that her sisters dog got pregnant by accident. My friend owned the male pom and her sister had a female pom. Which the sister had left with her parents so she could go and live in Korea. Well, the two cuties made babies!! And my friends parents werent so happy about it and told her she couldnt keep them. She came and asked me if I wanted one and I told her when they were old enough ( 3 months maybe) I would think about it. So this didnt cross my mind either because I thought I wouldnt have to make a final decision until next year Jan. Well,,,,, the day after thanksgiving I get an email saying that if I wanted him she could drop him off today. And without hesitating I said "sure! bring him over" and here he is! A little gift outta no where. The cutest little black Pom!
For me this past week was a hard one , and he has been cheering me up.Vincent is so precious. Iam sure I will be posting more movies of him on here, so watch out!!

My new friends in Guangzhou!

The first night we got there it was our new friends, Michael's last night. (he is the one wearing the black trucker hat with white gumball tee) So we went to eat his favorite food, JAPANESE!! Yumm~
It was this small restaurant that is owned by a chinese man whom went to school in japan, must of loved it so much he started a japanese restaurant in his home country. It was all very tasteful and everyone was so~ nice.

Here is just a sneak peek at what my Thanksgiving table looked like! I had friends and family over. This year was very intimate and mellow. We finished the night off by playing Cranium. I love that game! its so much fun!One day Im gonna have to come out with a board game! Did you know that the recent Monopoly board games you can play with Credit Cards instead of Paper money!!

Back safe and sound

Iam finally back to Sunny California. I spent a few days in a little cloudy and very cold Japan. My friends took us to eat some really good Brazilian Food. mmmm it was sooo good! Thank you 369! And the next day I got to hang out with my bff Olivia. Its always fun hanging out with her. We are the type of friends that even if we havent seen each other or talked for a while, we always come back the same way we left off! And the last photo is of my brothers friends and I got to hang out and walk around. We went to Meiji Jingu for Yaku-barai. And to do my usual routine of praying and wishing for a good year for everyone next year! Lets all hope for a big change!

Our 2nd day in the Fabric Zone!

So here is something I shot while we were walking out of the fabric mall area. We had been walking all morning. And its almost the end of November and it was sooo Hot out! Could this be global warming alert?
I found a lot of fabrics I want to use in my future designs. So Iam excited to go home, look thru all of them and figure out which one goes where!! fuuunnnn~

Walking around Fabric Department

So the first day we got in, we got to walk around this area in Guangzhou ( still need to practice on how to say it correctly!)
It is like a HUGE HUGE shopping Mall full of Fabrics!I would say that this place is around 5~6 blocks long and wide. Or it could be bigger if you count all the little places around this area.This is just a little part of it. Knits, sweaters, sweats, poly ... wahtever you are looking for, you will be sure to find something here! And the basement is all trims and metals, buttons etc. All the little things that make a garment.
It was so much fun! And there was so much to see that we did 2 days of this!
((They didnt allow video taping or pictures, so this is some rare stuff!! :) ))

Morning Buffet in Guangzhou

We had our first breakfast here in Guanzhou! It was about 55元。。。。How do you say it in English? RMB??
So we had a full buffet for about $8.75!! And it was deeeealish! mmm mmm

First VLOG!

hehehe OK. So the reason why I have been distant is why I have been traveling for the past week and a half! My friend and I just got into Guangzhou last night, but on our way there, we took a little video I thought I could put it up! So here is a little bit of something something! I took a new one this morning, will post that one later when I get back!

Michel Gondry and Friedia!

I was invited out to go to The Family Book Store down on Fairfax (in front of Canters) I rushed down there because I heard that one of my favorite Directors would be there, Michel Gondry. Well, the place packed but luckily my friend had waited since 6:30pm! She is such a sweetie! Thank you again for doing that for us!
I went up, handed him his book "You'll like This Film Because Your In It" and he asked name, I spelled it out like I always do and told him " Iam a very BIG fan"..he said back "You are tiny" And I said " Iam still a very big fan!" and he ended it with looking me up and down and said " You are small"so...i just said " I have a big heart for your work" and he laughed.
Couldnt talk much really, the line was out the door and down the street!
Hope to make movies like him one day! We need more creative directors out there. Not just explosion after explosion and killing then sex and more explosion....right??

Collabo's

Collaboration is what I mean.Collaboration is a recursive process where two or more people or organizations work together toward an intersection of common goals — for example, an intellectual endeavor[1] [2] that is creative in nature[3]—by sharing knowledge, learning and building consensus.
In Japan it happens a lot in the fashion business.Wether it be two lines or a line and a store.
WELL, I have been finding my American collabo's all over! I might have to start a whole new page for these...

Tis the season!

I love halloween! One of my favorite holiday's, if thats what you call it, cus they dont really give you a day off. ANy ways, I love going into stores and seeing all the orange color and pumpkins, costumes, candy , spooky toys etc. Its the best.
One of my favorites is that they bring Franken Berry back along with Boo Berry! yummmmm
The boxes changed a little. You used to be able to see Franken Berry's nails. They were strawberries. So I would paint my nails like little strawberries! SO cute!

Fittings....

Havent posted the 2nd fashion show here yet, but I will tell you..its gonna be big! We have been doing fittings with models, and talking about hair and make up..all the FUN stuff!
The show coming up this friday is more of my FALL 08 collection. And the one coming up next week on the 15th (keep it open you guys) is for the SPRING 09 brand new collection! Very exciting stuff!

Getting ready for so many things...

I know Iam a month away,,,well,, actually we are getting kinda close. I have been super super busy. So this past Saturday I decided to take a little time off and do something creative. I made a little trip to this place called Michaels and got me some material.
It wasnt till I made the whole thing, that I thought of taking a picture of before and after. Because I had a bought a plain branch wreath and all the other chatchky's. I spray painted the wreath black, did my magic with the extra's and ended up with this! Iam pretty happy with my creation! Wish I could see everyone elses!
I have also been getting ready for 2 fashion shows this month!Its a lot of fun planning and getting things together, but it loses "me" time. So making this wreath was so much fun! OH! And Iam making things for the shows as well. Hope you guys can make it!!

Sushi Cafe

THANK U! IT WAS SO YUMMY!!

While I was in NY for work I got invited to go over to my friends house. His wife just happens to be a Maitre Patissier! She is a patisserie chef! ( hope Iam using the word right!hehe) Anyways, she made us this delicious Paella! and some dessert to go with it!mmmmm and for starters we had cheese and wine! She also brought out some goat cheese, inbetween she added tuna! It was all SOOOoooo Good! We found out later she had Risotto! She hid it from us!!! Thank you so much Wataru and Ayako! You guys rock! When you come to LA, I will treat you to my cooking! Maybe we can try Brazilian!

Just came back home from a nice night out. Tonight I went to see the famous Rory's very FIRST show! And I must say, it was beutiful! He is so talented. I also got my hands on a copy of his CD and it was nice to listen to on the way back home. Putting it straight into my iphone! There was also a sneak peek of Exploding Strawberries! Woofin Girl Photo shoot! in LA!!

I got an email right before I left for Vegas, saying that they want me for the fashion pages of Woofin Girl magazine.The whole theme is "Successful girls in LA" I was very honored for them to think of me!
Before I knew it, they day of the shoot came! The editor and stylist flew in from Tokyo for 3 days to do 2 days of photo shooting! Hard work! And yesterday we shot ALL DAY! I really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun and cant wait to see how it all came out. Some of my idea's for the shoot was used, so Iam excited to see how it all came out! Keep your eyes out for it! Will be on stands on October 6th!!

FandJ first Shipment!

Hey all of you! Sorry I have been in and out and not totally IN! It has been a busy week! As soon as we got back from Vegas, we went straight to the factory to pick up our scarves and push the workers to finish it all so we can ship.
Well, they finished the next day. We brought them all over to my house/office.(one day I will own buildings, dont you worry!)
And we had to seperate allthe scarves into their proper owners boxes to be shipped.Here is what it looked like! It took us all day!
I also had to do some personal shipping too! (again, one day I will own buildings that will have people help me ship out things!hehe)

"PROJECT" Day 2!

Here we are for the 2nd day. We havent really slept for the past week, trying to get things ready and everyday just being non-stop. So we might look a little tired! I also saw two girls there from the TV show "the hills" The Whitney girl had her line there, and it was pretty cute! I see her in opening ceremony store all the time! I love her neon pink chanel flats! Very cuteness!
And I also found some very well dressed HIP people that I wanted to share. You know, its hard finding people with good style. You would think at a show like this you would give it your all to impress others, but a lot of the peeps didnt do much. They "DO" better when they go out at night...thats what is different from LA and Japan. In japan, we are always wanting to look good!
