My busy Birthday week!!

As some of you may know that it was Market week in Las Vegas this past week. Usually it falls on Valentines day but this year it was my birthday. First I was worried that I might have to spend it alone. But before I knew it, all my friends had started calling me up and asking where the party was! SO I made RSVP at this FABULOUS restaurant in THE HOTEL at Mandalay Bay for 25 of my friends!! It was the most delicious best meal I have had in Vegas! THE BEST! The chef is supposedly the Number One Chef in all the world! OHH!! And the table where we dined at was up stairs, it was called the "CLOUD" table. Round Glass balls that where hanging from the ceiling all around us like cloouds and above the table where metallic ones, they called it "rain"
The place was beautiful! I hope to go back again some day!
And after dinner, I had gambled for the first time! We went to play black jack and I didnt feel it...too much preassure.
Then we went over the the Crabs table and had a man named TIM help us. He guided us with patience and was funny too! Well, with his help and all my friends, we one a lot of money! (well a lot for me, I was new)
It was so much fun! We couldnt stop laughing! hehehe I got back to the hotel at 4am and woke up the next morning at 9, like nothing had ever happened!
OH OH!! During the begining of the day, my best friend who had moved away from me about a year ago had come over to visit me for a coffee! And I got to hang out with River again. She is the cutest little thing!!!
I have such wonderful people around me. I really do. Am so lucky to call them my friends. Really Iam blessed.

Sneak Peek @ MNAMR Summer 2009

Finally after finding a day within all the rain we have been getting we all found the time to help out a little friend...lil' ol me!
The fame photographer J.B (now wants to be called Puff Jeffy after he saw what Hip hop can do to talented people, such as Joaquin Phoenix) And my new model Algo! She is part Brazilian and part Ethiopian! She is part of my peeps! Loves it!! :)
So I got to style and everything and everyone worked so well with everyone! It went by so fast! The pictures came out super duper cute and exactly what I was looking for! Iam gonna be heading out to Vegas tomorrow , so hopfully we will get sales!

I wanna start a band...

House searching is just the beginning...

So living in the U.S there are its ups and downs. Especially around the living situation. You do kinda get more for your money (compared to Tokyo living) Which is nice. And you dont have to worry how far it is from the train station because you dont really walk.Which is also nice that you dont have to worry about. But one thing that hit me hard this time..Is that in some parts of CA there is no Rent Control (Rent control refers to laws or ordinances that set price controls on the renting of residential housing. It functions as a price ceiling.) I had never dealt with this issue before and it hit me now! Right when the economy isnt doing so well...(not a smart move on their side...everyone is moving OUT!) So I get a notice that if I dont move out within the next 60 days they will raise the rent $550!! That would be a mortgage I could be paying instead of an apartment! So, I panic. I move a lot. Ever since I was little. I dont mind the settling into a new city or country. I just mind the MOVING! and the SEARCHING!! argh! For the past 3 days straight I have been driving up hills, and down in parts of Hollywood I never knew existed! My body aches for being in the car so long. OH! And i have met some very interesting people!
Iam sure searching for a new place wouldnt be so stressful if I had time and wanted to move out on my own will....but when there is a limit....eeeek! Not so fun!! So if I cant post for a few more days, just know that Iam house hunting! Wish me luck!!! Iam going to need it! :)

STAMP'D @ JOY RICH

There was a party last week for a One year celebration for the store and clothing line Joy Rich and also the launch party for this very cool new sneaker line called "Stamp'd" The designer is Chris ( the picture of me and his surprised face) He had drawn on some sneakers(blanks) for the guys at the store Joy Rich. Well, they loved it so much that it became a line. And it was born! I had seen the sneakers at the factory when I was in China last year November.So to see them up the the shelves and everything was really neat! I took so many pictures. These pix were from Yari, he was the photographer for the party! Thank you Yari! The Joy Rich guys are my good friends. Go by and check the store out! They have very Hip things.

Obama is our new Hero!

So we have a new president. I love the change and am amazed every time he is on tv. A reminder of how much the world has changed! SO far we have come!

Magical Mascara!

The other day I was fortunate enough to meet a very successful and beautiful, sweet lady. She started her own mascara line! Its called "Fairy Drops" and its all over in the stores in Japan. When I was there in Nov I saw it a lot and was curious but didnt get a chance to go and buy one. Well, she gave me the mascara herself! And now, Iam ADDICTED! Its the best mascara by far! If you know me , I love cosmetics and am very picky with my mascara!VERY! I was always a Lancome fan and I recently have been trying other's, but nothing really stuck. THIS ONE! This one is staying! It has three balls on the brush. Its like a magic wand!
The balls are like a fariydrop. Or a fairy's tear drop... how sweet it is~
No clumps, goes on really smooth and the platinum fairydrops have fibers in it so your lashes become more volumnious (if thats a real word!haha) And it comes on glossy!PLUS!! the package is super cute too!
Too bad it hasnt made its way here to the states yet, but Iam going to try to do something to make that happen! :)
My girlfriends already want one. So I have a list of people to get it for when I go back to Japan!hehehe~

Ive been sick!

Sorry guys and gals! I havent posted in a while cus I have been so out of it! I got the FLU! Yay~... Its funny, I usually dont get sick! Iam a very healthy person. But his time it hit me and I couldnt do much. I stayed in bed and watched alot of dvd's! Iam still recovering. Today the weather in LA is sunny, still cold out. But Sunny and that helps! It had been raining for the past few days and thats when the flu got a hold of me! Sorry, havent done anything exciting to post. But will get back on track! hehe

Brazilian Night TMRW!

Some of my friends will be over tomorrow and for the weekend, so I decided to be a good host and make them dinner!....Which I dont mind at all cus I do love to cook! And since everyone knows my japanese side, I thought I would show them my brazilian!
Went down to this small Brazil Mall in Culver City. Its very small but has everything you need to make Feijoada! mmmm~ my fav.
My mom makes the best! Oh , and the cookies I couldnt keep my hands off of...just like my mom. Cassini Coconut ones! mmmm~ Cant wait!

Golden Globe Awards 2009

Watching the golden globes is so inspiring. I just watch Slumdog Millionaire a few days ago and totally fell in love with it. I cant stop thinking of the movie. (thats when you know it was good! You just cant forget it!) Iam so happy that a movie like that (meaning, so non-hollywood, no famous actors etc) winning an award like this makes me so happy inside.
And for one of my favorite actress' Kate Winslet. Her acceptance speech's were darling, adorable and honest. I love her for that.
Acting, directing, producing.... the list goes on. It is an industry of making dreams come true. Its amazing. Made me want to be more active on doing something. If not acting then maybe directing! Iam always fascinated by creators both behind and in front of the camera. It was a lovely Sunday. :)
